LOVE the Wooden Spoons!

So VERY excited about my Pinterest DIY project!  I saw these and could not wait to do them myself!  First, I love color!  I mean LOVE color!  Second, they are wooden spoons!  I don't think it could get much cuter!  It was super easy and fun to do!  All you do is take a wooden spoon and with painters tape, you decide where you want the paint to stop and tape off a line!  Then pick a paint color you want!  I used a few colors that go with my kitchen decor but then had some fun colors!  I just bought the small craft paint from Hobby Lobby.  I also did 2 coats to make it a really vivid color.  After it dries you spray it with a non*toxic shellac!  I found this at Lowe's and the brand is Zinneser.  It is a clear shellac that is non*toxic and dries fast.  It is in a spray paint can but not located with the spray paint.  It is over on the aisle with the cans of stain.  Oh, and don't lay them down!  The shellac is VERY sticking!  I put them upside down in a basket to stand them up over night to dry!  They also recommend you hand washing them to prevent any chipping and be careful not to set them on something hott hott!  Hope you love these as much as me!  I am on a search for dark wood spoons!
